old-type-40:

“Memories are really confusing. A lot of times we remember things as we experienced them as opposed to how they happen. And so Sheryl gets a chance to sort of see with an objective team of people what actually happened. And she realizes it wasn’t exactly how she remembered it. But one thing seems pretty clear. Sheryl realizes that whatever opportunity was once there for her in her life is gone. And the people tell her she can begin again. And I think that’s a very important message we believe in. We want the audience to understand as well which is that you can always begin again. And you can begin again at any moment because the world itself is about beginnings.“ - David Sacks

This is a really good observation about memories. Also, when we tell false stories about what happened in the past, our memories become edited to match them. And we no longer realize the stories we tell ourselves about the past are false.

And Olan had this to say, “They’re in final space. And, I think, as we look ahead we’re really going to see that this crew is fighting for their life.”

That was a real wild ride of different emotions in the last few scenes of the season finale. We went from sadness to exhilaration to happiness to apprehension.
